USI's online NP programs for New Hampshire nurses
New Hampshire residents are eligible for every University of Southern Indiana online nursing program, and USI's Fall 2025 disclosure says its NP curricula meet New Hampshire's requirements. The one wrinkle is a board filing procedure for out-of-state programs, written for prelicensure students.

What USI's table says for New Hampshire
USI's Professional Licensure Disclosure ("Updated Fall 2025") is the document that decides admission by state of residence. New Hampshire is missing from all of its Enrollment Not Allowed cells, and each nurse practitioner and DNP APRN row files it under Meets Requirements.

Massachusetts, which shares the Boston metro with about 459,000 New Hampshire residents, is closed to MSN NP applicants and even sits in both licensure columns; the licensure disclosure guide unpacks that conflict.
New Hampshire's filing rule for out-of-state programs
New Hampshire's Nur 602.15(j), the section on distance education for prelicensure programs, tells an approved school from another state to notify the Board of its plans before contracting with a New Hampshire facility, and to give six weeks' warning of each placement. Three filings follow: Form A, renewed yearly; Part B, the Student Clinical Placement form, for each rotation; and, for every preceptor, a Clinical Preceptor Agreement.
Whether any of this touches you is doubtful. USI's NP students are licensed RNs in graduate study, and OPLC's education page places post-licensure programs (it names RN-BSN and RN-MSN) outside the Board's regulation. The rule's future is unsettled too: one posted copy shows a January 23, 2026 expiration date, although OPLC referred to it during January 2026, and no readoption has been confirmed. Ask the Nursing Clinical Coordinator whether USI files anything for New Hampshire sites; the state's six weeks run separately from USI's own packet deadlines.
Full practice, and where New Hampshire students search
The AANP classifies New Hampshire as full practice, so NPs there can run their own clinics under the board's authority, and NP-owned family and psychiatric practices deserve a place on your list next to hospital services.
Manchester-Nashua is home to about 433,000 people and the Concord area about 158,000, per 2025 Census counts. NP students often contact Catholic Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, or the Dartmouth Health system, home of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Concord Hospital Health System is another option. Southern New Hampshire Health and Elliot Health System co-founded SolutionHealth, and in July 2025 their boards proposed ending that partnership. Each is a place to ask rather than a ready-made USI site, and whichever you choose signs its own Clinical Education Agreement.
RN licensing and telehealth from New Hampshire
New Hampshire's compact membership began January 19, 2018. USI's license rule reaches every state where you log clinical hours, and the RN license there must be unencumbered; at a New Hampshire clinic, a New Hampshire license works, as does a multistate license whose home state is another compact member. Maine and Vermont are compact states too, so a clinic across either border is simpler to license for than one in Massachusetts, which passed the compact in November 2024 and is targeting May 2027 to put it into effect.

Questions USI students ask
Does Nur 602.15 apply to USI's MSN students?
As written, it covers approved prelicensure schools from other states, and OPLC treats post-licensure programs, RN-MSN included, as beyond the Board's regulation. USI's NP students already hold RN licenses. Because the rule's status after January 2026 is uncertain and facilities write their own contracts, confirm with USI's Nursing Clinical Coordinator before a New Hampshire rotation.
Can I do clinicals in Massachusetts while living in New Hampshire?
USI's table speaks to where you live, not where you train, and it closes the MSN NP tracks to Massachusetts residents without saying whether a New Hampshire resident may use a site there. A Massachusetts RN license would be required as well, because the compact is not yet active in that state. Ask the Graduate Clinical Liaison first; the Massachusetts page has more.
Is USI's online AGACNP program open to New Hampshire residents?
Yes. New Hampshire is off the Enrollment Not Allowed list for the MSN AGACNP, and the table shows the curriculum meeting New Hampshire's rules. The acute care courses call for NPs, PAs or physicians in acute settings, and NRSG 637 favors critical care or hospitalist work, so hospital services are the natural place to search. Do I need a New Hampshire license if my multistate license is from Maine?
Generally, no: a multistate license issued by Maine, or by any other compact home state, carries a privilege to practice in New Hampshire, which is also a member. USI's handbook never mentions compact privileges, though, so confirm with the Nursing Clinical Coordinator that yours satisfies the program before your Preceptor Packet goes in.
